Public Service Commission (PSC) called vacancy for 214 Computer Operator (non gazetted first class, ‘nayab subba’) permanent positions throughout the nation. For the last two years, such positions were not opened due to the Organization and Management (O&M) report. Previously, Government of Nepal (GoN) conducted O&M survey and based on its report, the Government of Nepal decided not to open vacancy for Computer Operator in any government offices. GoN assumed that all the non-technical officials will have the necessary computer skills and could operate by themself. After this decision, complaints was made at supreme court more than two years ago and recently the court has reversed the GoN decision. After the decision from supreme court, Public Service Commission called vacancy for Computer Operator at its various central and regional offices. Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for the aforementioned position, applicants required the following qualification:
Intermediate level (+2) or equivalent level passed with computer subject from a recognized academic institution.
OR
Intermediate level (+2) or equivalent level passed from a recognized academic institution and received at least 6 months computer training from registered institution.
OR
Intermediate level (+2) or equivalent level passed from a recognized academic institution and received 6 months skilled manpower training on computer organized by Ministry of Science and Technology.
Age limit:
Minimum 18 year completed and maximum 35 year not crossed by 2077-11-18 in case of male. And, in case of female and differently able candidates maximum age limit is 40. For the currently working government officials there will no age limit.
Exam Pattern and Center
Exam mode will be written, practical and interview. Exam center will be same as mentioned in aforementioned table/PSC offices. In case of Jaleshwor, exam center will be also at Lahan of Siraha and Birjung of Parsa. Similarly, in case of Surkhet, exam center will be also at headquarters of Dolpa and Humla.
