
Government of Nepal provided approval to Far-Western University (FWU) to run Bachelor of Engineering in Computer (B.E. Computer) program. Cabinet meeting decision of 11 Falgun granted the approval to School of Engineering, Far-Western University to implement and run the B.E. Computer program. The approval received by the university to run B.E. Computer program is temporary as of now.
As per the cabinet decision published on Sunday, the Far-Western University could implement B.E. program with 48 seats. B.E. Computer is a four year and eight semester undergraduate Computer Engineering course which includes hardware and software aspects of both computer design and computer applications. In Nepal, The Far-Western University is the sixth university who is going to run the B.E. Computer Engineering. So far, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Mid-Western University, Purwanchal University and Pokhara University have the B.E. Computer Engineering program.

The FWU Faculty of Engineering (FOE) currently runs B.E. Civil and aims to start a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, and a Master’s degree in Construction Project Management and Structural Engineering as well in the coming years.
